Aruba Beach Holidays

Caribbean Holidays, Aruba Beach Holidays, Wide white-sand beach in Aruba with calm turquoise water, palm trees and bright Caribbean sunshine

Easy-going island beaches

Aruba beach holidays are all about simple pleasures: warm sand under your feet, clear water in front of you and a gentle breeze that makes even the hottest afternoon comfortable. Just outside the lively resort areas, you can find quiet stretches of coastline where the pace naturally slows down.

Palm Beach is a popular choice for its soft sand, calm sea and excellent range of hotels, restaurants and watersports. Eagle Beach feels more spacious and relaxed, with plenty of room to stretch out beneath the shade of a palapa. Both are easy places to settle into island life, whether you want to swim, read or watch the sunset.

Swimming and watersports

Aruba’s sheltered beaches are ideal for a refreshing swim, particularly around Palm Beach. The water is generally calm and wonderfully clear, so you can see the sandy seabed beneath you. Families will appreciate the easy access and gentle conditions, while confident swimmers can enjoy longer dips along the coast.

There is also plenty to do when you are ready to leave your sun lounger. Try paddleboarding, kayaking or a relaxed sailing trip, or book a snorkelling excursion to explore the colourful marine life. For a livelier experience, windsurfing and kitesurfing are especially popular in areas where the trade winds are stronger.

Sunsets and evening walks

One of the best parts of an Aruba beach holiday is the evening. As the heat softens, walk along the shoreline with the sea beside you and the sky changing from blue to gold. Eagle Beach is particularly attractive at this time of day, offering wide views and a peaceful setting for a slow stroll.

Afterwards, you can enjoy dinner near the coast, from fresh seafood and Caribbean specialities to familiar international dishes. Many beach resorts have relaxed bars where you can listen to music, enjoy a cool drink and watch the last light disappear over the water. It is an easy way to end a day without needing to plan too much.

More than a beach

Although the beaches are the main attraction, Aruba offers plenty of reasons to explore beyond the sand. Hire a car or join an island tour to see the rugged north coast, natural rock formations and the distinctive landscape around Arikok National Park. The contrast between the dry inland scenery and the bright blue sea gives the island its own character.

Oranjestad is worth a visit for its colourful buildings, local shops and cafés, while small food stalls provide a chance to try authentic island flavours. With warm weather, reliable sunshine and a friendly atmosphere, Aruba works equally well for a relaxing break, an active escape or a holiday that combines both.
