Walking in February
Guadeloupe is a brilliant choice for a walking holiday in February. While much of the UK is cold and grey, this French Caribbean island enjoys warm days, bright skies and a refreshing breeze from the sea. Conditions are generally comfortable for exploring on foot, especially if you start earlier in the day.
The island offers far more than one type of landscape. You can walk beside quiet beaches, through tropical forest and across volcanic slopes, often enjoying a swim or a Creole lunch afterwards. February is also a lively time to visit, with carnival celebrations adding colour and music to villages and towns.
