Beautiful Beaches to Explore
Guadeloupe beach holidays are all about variety. This French Caribbean island has long stretches of soft sand, quiet coves and lively seaside spots where you can settle in for the day with nothing more demanding than a swim and a good lunch. The warm climate makes it an appealing choice for sunshine at almost any time of year.
On Grande-Terre, the eastern wing of Guadeloupe, beaches are often broad and bright, with clear water and easy access to cafés and local restaurants. Sainte-Anne is a favourite for its calm lagoon and gentle swimming, while nearby Bois Jolan feels more peaceful, with shady trees and plenty of room to find your own patch of sand.
For a more dramatic setting, head towards Le Moule or the eastern coast, where the Atlantic brings stronger waves and a refreshing breeze. These beaches are ideal for a scenic walk, although it is sensible to check local conditions before swimming.
