Why Visit Guadeloupe in January?
January is an excellent time to enjoy an all-inclusive holiday in Guadeloupe. While much of the UK is cold and grey, this French Caribbean island is warm, bright and easy-going, with daytime temperatures generally sitting around 28°C. The dry season is under way, so you can expect plenty of sunshine for beach days, sightseeing and lazy afternoons beside the pool.
Guadeloupe offers more than a typical beach escape. Its two main islands have very different personalities, joined by a narrow channel that gives the destination its familiar butterfly shape. Grande-Terre is known for sandy beaches, lively resorts and attractive coastal towns, while Basse-Terre is greener and more rugged, with rainforest, waterfalls and volcanic scenery.
