January Weather in Haiti
January is an excellent month for a Haiti nature holiday. The weather is generally warm, sunny and pleasantly dry, making it easier to explore forests, mountains, waterfalls and coastal landscapes without the heavy humidity found later in the year. Days are comfortable for walking, while evenings in the hills can feel refreshingly cool.
Temperatures vary depending on where you stay. Port-au-Prince and the coast are warm, while higher areas such as the Massif de la Selle have cooler air and more dramatic scenery. Pack light clothing, sturdy walking shoes, sun protection and a light jumper if you plan to spend time in the mountains.
