January Diving Conditions
January is an excellent time for a scuba diving holiday in Haiti. The weather is generally warm and pleasantly dry, while the sea can offer good visibility for exploring reefs, rocky walls and sheltered bays. Water temperatures are usually comfortable for diving, although many visitors choose to wear a light wetsuit for longer or deeper dives.
This time of year is also appealing because it falls outside the wetter summer months. Calm mornings are common, making it easier to plan boat trips and enjoy relaxed dives before spending the afternoon discovering Haiti’s coastline. As with any Caribbean destination, local conditions can change, so an experienced dive centre is the best source of up-to-date advice.
