Start with the Coast
January is an excellent time for a Martinique adventure holiday. The island is warm, generally drier than during the wetter months, and full of possibilities for days spent outdoors. You can begin with an easy morning beside the Caribbean Sea, then swap your sun lounger for a paddleboard, a boat trip or a coastal walk.
Martinique’s beaches have plenty of variety. The calm, sheltered coves around the south are ideal for swimming and snorkelling, while the Atlantic coast feels wilder, with bigger views and a livelier sea. Pack comfortable sandals, swimwear and plenty of sun cream, as even a relaxed beach day can turn into an energetic coastal adventure.
