Why Visit in February
February is an excellent month for a birdwatching holiday in Saint Kitts and Nevis. The weather is usually warm, bright and pleasantly dry, making it comfortable to spend long mornings outdoors. Gentle trade winds take the edge off the heat, while clear skies often create superb conditions for spotting birds and enjoying the islands’ volcanic landscapes.
This time of year also falls within the Caribbean’s main winter visitor season. Alongside resident species, you may see migrant birds that have travelled south from North America. A holiday in February can therefore offer a rewarding mixture of familiar tropical birds and seasonal visitors, with plenty of variety from one outing to the next.
