Why Visit in January
January is an excellent time to enjoy Saint Lucia beach holidays. The island is well into its dry season, so days are generally warm, bright and comfortable, with plenty of sunshine for swimming, boat trips and relaxing beside the sea. Temperatures usually sit around the high twenties Celsius, while refreshing trade winds keep the coast from feeling too hot.
It is also a welcome escape from the cold, dark weather in the United Kingdom. Picture starting the day with breakfast near the beach, walking along warm sand and ending the afternoon watching the sun set over the Caribbean. January is a popular month, but Saint Lucia has enough varied coastline and secluded bays to make it easy to find your own peaceful corner.
