Why Dive in February?
February is an excellent month for scuba diving in the Dominican Republic. The weather is usually warm and pleasantly dry, while the sea around popular diving areas is often calm enough for comfortable boat trips and relaxed entries into the water. Daytime temperatures commonly sit in the high twenties Celsius, so you can enjoy the reef without feeling rushed by the heat.
Visibility varies by location and conditions, but many February dives offer clear water and a good chance to spot reef fish, rays and larger seasonal visitors. It is a particularly appealing time to combine diving with a beach holiday, as there is plenty of sunshine for relaxing between underwater adventures.
