Walking between the island’s villages gives your holiday a real sense of place. In Marigot, browse the market, explore the waterfront and climb towards Fort Louis for views over the bay. Grand Case is ideal for a slower stroll, with colourful streets, small galleries and some of the island’s best-known restaurants.

On the Dutch side, Philipsburg offers a livelier atmosphere, historic streets and a long beach beside the boardwalk. You can easily spend an hour or two exploring before sitting down for local seafood, French pastries or a refreshing rum-based drink.
