Why Visit in January?
January is an excellent time for a walking holiday in Saint Martin and Sint Maarten. The islands are enjoying their dry season, so you can usually expect warm days, lower humidity and plenty of bright sunshine. Daytime temperatures are comfortable for exploring on foot, particularly in the cooler mornings and late afternoons.
This is also a welcome escape from the cold and darker days in the UK. After breakfast, you could be following a quiet coastal path, stopping at a beach café for fresh juice, and watching the sea change from deep blue to turquoise. The gentle trade winds often make walking more pleasant than the thermometer suggests.
