March Instagram Hotspots

Picture-Perfect Beaches

March is an excellent time to find your next Caribbean Instagram hotspot. Across the islands, the weather is generally warm and settled, with plenty of sunshine for those all-important photographs. Whether you prefer quiet coves or lively shores, you can easily fill your camera roll with brilliant colour.

Grace Bay in Turks and Caicos is a natural starting point, with clear shallow water and soft white sand stretching into the distance. For something more rugged, head to the Baths on Virgin Gorda, where enormous granite boulders create sea pools, narrow passages and unusual viewpoints. Visit early in the day for gentler light and fewer people in the background.

Colourful Island Streets

Some of the best holiday photographs happen away from the beach. Wander through the old streets of Willemstad in Curaçao, where pastel buildings line the waterfront and the Queen Emma Bridge provides a memorable viewpoint. The colours look particularly lively against a clear March sky.

Havana in Cuba offers a different kind of character, with faded façades, classic cars and lively squares providing plenty of authentic detail. Take your time, look upwards for balconies and shutters, and photograph the scene as you find it rather than trying to arrange every moment. A local guide can also point out quieter corners that are easy to miss.

Waterfalls And Rainforest

For a change from coastal views, explore the greener side of the Caribbean. Dunn’s River Falls in Jamaica is one of the region’s most recognisable attractions, where visitors can climb through cool, rushing water surrounded by tropical vegetation. Wear secure footwear and protect your phone with a waterproof case.

Dominica is ideal if you want less familiar scenery. Its rainforest trails lead to waterfalls, hot springs and misty mountain viewpoints, creating photographs with a wonderfully natural feel. March can be a comfortable month for walking, but conditions change quickly, so take water, allow plenty of time and follow local advice.

Golden-Hour Moments

Sunset is often the easiest way to create a striking holiday image. Find a west-facing beach, arrive at least half an hour early and watch how the light changes across the water. A simple silhouette of a palm tree, boat or jetty can work better than a crowded composition.

Barbados, Antigua and Saint Lucia all have excellent spots for evening photographs, from relaxed beach bars to quiet coastal viewpoints. Remember to put the camera down occasionally, too. The best Caribbean memories are not always the ones that make it on to Instagram.
