Why Visit in July?
July is a lively time to explore the Dominican Republic, especially if you want a holiday that combines warm beaches with plenty to see and do. Days are generally hot, with temperatures often reaching around 30°C, while the sea is invitingly warm for swimming, snorkelling and boat trips.
There can be short tropical showers, but these often pass quickly and leave the air feeling fresh. The occasional rain is part of the island’s summer climate, so pack light clothing, sun cream and a compact waterproof jacket, then make the most of the sunshine between showers.
