Grenada Multi-Country

Caribbean Holidays, Grenada Multi-Country, Grand Anse Beach in Grenada on a sunny March morning, calm turquoise water, golden sand, palm trees and a few relaxed holidaymakers

Why Visit Grenada in March

March is an excellent time to include Grenada in a multi-country Caribbean holiday. The island is usually warm, bright and pleasantly dry, with daytime temperatures around 29°C and refreshing sea breezes. It is ideal for enjoying beaches, outdoor sights and local food without having to plan your days around frequent showers.

Grenada feels welcoming and easy-going, yet it has plenty to keep curious travellers occupied. You can spend a quiet morning on Grand Anse Beach, wander through the colourful capital, St George’s, and still have time for a sunset drink by the water. Adding Grenada to a wider Caribbean itinerary gives you a rewarding change of pace between larger or busier islands.

A Taste of Island Life

Begin in St George’s, one of the prettiest harbour towns in the Caribbean. Red-tiled roofs, pastel buildings and steep streets surround the horseshoe-shaped waterfront, where fishing boats sit alongside yachts. Take a relaxed walk around the market and Carenage, then pause for fresh juice or locally made chocolate.

Grenada is known as the Isle of Spice, and its flavours are a memorable part of any visit. Try an oil down, the island’s hearty national dish, or look for nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves in market stalls and small shops. A friendly local guide can also introduce you to the island’s plantations and explain how its famous spices are grown.

Rainforest Adventures

Away from the coast, Grenada’s green interior offers a cooler and more adventurous side of the island. Walk through Grand Etang National Park, where forest trails lead towards mountain viewpoints and the crater lake. Keep an eye out for Mona monkeys, colourful birds and the rich plant life that thrives in the humid hills.

The island’s waterfalls are another highlight. Concord Falls and Annandale Falls are easy to enjoy on a day trip, with shaded paths and natural pools for a refreshing swim. These excursions fit neatly into a multi-country holiday, giving you a chance to experience the landscape beyond the beach without needing a long, complicated journey.

Sea, Sand and Diving

March brings excellent conditions for making the most of Grenada’s coastline. Spend a lazy day swimming from Grand Anse, try paddleboarding in the calm water, or take a boat trip along the southern coast. The island’s beaches range from lively and convenient to small, quiet coves where the only sound is the water.

For something truly different, visit the Molinere Underwater Sculpture Park. Submerged figures create an unusual artificial reef that can be explored by snorkel or glass-bottom boat, while divers can discover coral gardens, wrecks and colourful marine life around the island. It is a memorable experience to add to the classic Caribbean beach break.

Planning a Multi-Country Trip

Grenada works well as part of a wider Caribbean holiday, particularly when paired with nearby islands or a cruise itinerary. Allow at least four or five nights if you want a balanced visit, although a longer stay gives you more time for rainforest walks, sailing and unhurried evenings in local restaurants.

Choose a base near Grand Anse for easy beach access and a good selection of places to eat, or stay around St George’s for historic character and harbour views. With warm March weather, varied scenery and a relaxed atmosphere, Grenada can be the part of a multi-country trip that you remember most fondly.
