Jamaican Beach Weather
Jamaica in August is made for beach time. Days are generally hot and bright, with temperatures often around 30°C, while the sea stays warm enough for long swims, snorkelling and paddleboarding. A cooling breeze along the coast can make the heat feel comfortable, especially in the morning and late afternoon.
August falls within Jamaica’s wetter season, but rain showers are often brief rather than an all-day affair. You might see a tropical downpour, then find the clouds clearing to reveal blue skies soon afterwards. Pack light clothes, sun cream and a compact waterproof jacket, and you will be ready for whatever the day brings.
