Why Visit in May
May is an excellent time for a Puerto Rico adventure holiday. The island is warm, lively and easy to explore, while the main winter crowds have begun to thin. Daytime temperatures are usually around 28°C, making it ideal for swimming, hiking and exploring the coast.
There may be a few short tropical showers, particularly in the hills, but they rarely spoil a full day outdoors. In fact, the rain keeps Puerto Rico’s forests wonderfully green and brings a welcome freshness to walks and sightseeing. Pack light clothing, strong footwear and a compact waterproof jacket, then set off with confidence.
