Why Visit in January
January is one of the best times to enjoy a Saint Lucia beach holiday. The island is warm, bright and inviting, with daytime temperatures usually sitting around 28°C. After the cooler, wetter weather of a British winter, stepping on to a sandy beach beside the Caribbean Sea feels wonderfully easy.
This month is part of Saint Lucia’s dry season, so there is generally plenty of sunshine for swimming, boat trips and relaxed days by the water. A short shower can still pass through, but it often clears quickly and leaves the air feeling fresh. January is also a popular month to travel, so booking early is sensible if you have a particular hotel or travel date in mind.
