Cheap June Holidays

Caribbean Holidays, Cheap June Holidays, A bright coastal scene in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, showing a quiet sandy beach, turquoise sea and green volcanic hills under soft June sunshine

Why Visit in June

June is a smart time to look for cheap holidays to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The islands are calmer than during the busy winter months, so you can enjoy a more relaxed Caribbean escape and often find better-value accommodation and flights. There is still plenty of warm weather for swimming, sightseeing and lazy afternoons by the sea.

Expect tropical temperatures, with daytime highs usually around 28°C. June can bring short showers, but these often pass quickly and leave the landscape looking fresh and beautifully green. Pack light clothing, sun cream and a small waterproof jacket, then make the most of the sunshine between showers.

Beaches and Islands

Saint Vincent is the largest island and has a wonderfully varied coastline. You can spend the morning on a quiet beach, explore small fishing villages in the afternoon and finish the day watching the sun settle over the Caribbean. The black volcanic sand at some beaches adds character, while other bays have pale sand and calm, clear water.

The Grenadines are ideal for island-hopping. Take a boat trip to Bequia for colourful waterfront streets and an easy-going atmosphere, or visit Mustique and Canouan for beautiful beaches and scenic walks. If you enjoy snorkelling, ask about trips to Tobago Cays, where shallow turquoise water and lively marine life make a memorable day on the sea.

Things to Do

There is much more to a June holiday than beach time. On Saint Vincent, guided walks through the rainforest lead towards La Soufrière, the island’s impressive volcano. The route can be demanding, but the views and natural scenery reward anyone who enjoys an active day out. Local guides can explain the island’s plants, history and changing landscapes.

For a gentler outing, visit Kingstown’s market and historic buildings, or take a coastal cruise to see hidden coves from the water. Diving, sailing, kayaking and fishing are also popular, while the island’s friendly restaurants serve fresh seafood, local fruit and filling Caribbean dishes.

Planning a Value Trip

To keep costs down, compare flight dates across the whole of June and consider travelling outside school holiday periods. Smaller guesthouses and self-catering apartments can offer excellent value, particularly when booked early. Staying on Saint Vincent may also make it easier to explore local attractions without paying for frequent inter-island transfers.

Plan a few special excursions, but leave time for simple pleasures such as swimming at a quiet bay, chatting with locals or enjoying a rum punch at the end of the day. With warm weather, welcoming communities and plenty of natural beauty, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines can deliver a memorable Caribbean holiday without needing a luxury-sized budget.
