Discover Bonaire in January

January is an excellent time for an adventure holiday in Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba. The weather is generally warm, sunny and pleasantly dry, making it easy to spend your days outdoors. Bring reef-safe sun cream, plenty of water and a waterproof camera, as the underwater scenery is often the highlight of the day.

Explore Sint Eustatius and Saba

Sint Eustatius, often called Statia, is quieter and wonderfully unhurried. Walk through the slopes of The Quill, a dormant volcano covered in green forest, and look for tropical birds among the trees. The trail into the crater is a rewarding adventure, although sturdy footwear is recommended after rain.

Saba offers a more challenging island escape, with steep paths, stone steps and impressive views over the Caribbean. The climb towards Mount Scenery leads through lush vegetation and cloud forest, and the changing landscape makes the effort worthwhile.
