Beach Days and Island Adventures
Caribbean holidays are made for time beside the water, whether you are after a quiet stretch of sand or a lively beach with music and watersports. Swim in warm, clear seas, try paddleboarding or snorkel just offshore to spot bright fish moving through the reef. Many beaches are easy to reach, so you can spend the morning exploring and still be back in time for a sunset drink.
For a change of scene, take a boat trip to a nearby cay or uninhabited island. You might picnic on a sandbank, look for sea turtles or cruise along the coast with the breeze on your face. Each island has its own character, from Barbados’s calm bays and lively south coast to the dramatic volcanic scenery and hidden coves of St Lucia, making island-hopping a rewarding part of your trip.
There is plenty to do above the water too. Walk through a rainforest, follow a trail to a waterfall or join a guided tour into the hills for wide views across the coastline. Local guides can point out tropical plants, wildlife and places that are easy to miss when travelling alone, while a relaxed pace lets you enjoy the scenery without feeling rushed.
