Bermuda Instagram Spots

Hamilton Harbour Views

Hamilton is one of the best places in Bermuda to start an Instagram-friendly holiday. The capital is compact, colourful and easy to explore on foot, with pastel-painted buildings, flower-filled streets and the blue waters of Hamilton Harbour close by. In May, the light is warm without usually feeling too intense, making it ideal for taking clear, bright photographs.

Walk along Front Street and look for a viewpoint that includes the waterfront, ferries and the city’s distinctive rooftops. A morning visit gives you softer light and fewer people, while late afternoon adds a golden glow to the harbour. Do remember to enjoy the scene as well as taking pictures; Hamilton’s relaxed pace is part of its appeal.

Horseshoe Bay Colours

Horseshoe Bay is probably Bermuda’s most recognisable beach, and its natural colours make it a reliable favourite for holiday photographs. The curved shoreline is framed by pale pink sand, clear turquoise water and rugged limestone rocks. May is a particularly pleasant time to visit, before the busiest summer weeks arrive.

For a classic view, climb the short path above the main beach and photograph the sweeping curve from higher ground. You can also walk towards the smaller coves nearby, where the rocks create more intimate compositions. Bring sensible footwear, as some paths are uneven, and protect your phone from sand when the breeze picks up.

St George’s Streets

Historic St George’s has plenty of character for anyone looking beyond beach photography. Its narrow lanes, pastel houses and old stone buildings give every walk a sense of discovery. Look out for colourful doors, white stepped roofs and small gardens bursting with subtropical plants.

Take your time around Water Street and the lanes leading towards the harbour. Early morning is peaceful and atmospheric, while the gentle evening light brings out the warm colours of the old town. Comfortable shoes are useful because the streets can be cobbled or hilly in places.

Railway Trail Adventures

For a more natural setting, follow part of Bermuda’s Railway Trail. This former railway route passes through woodland, quiet neighbourhoods and coastal viewpoints, offering a different side of the island from the famous beaches. The greenery is fresh in May, and shaded sections can be welcome during a sunny walk.

Choose a manageable section and keep your camera ready for glimpses of the sea between the trees. Some stretches are rough, so trainers or walking shoes are recommended. A small bag with water, sun protection and a portable charger will make it easier to explore at your own pace.

Sunset by the Sea

End the day beside the water for photographs with a softer, more peaceful mood. Bermuda’s western beaches and coastal viewpoints can be excellent for sunset, particularly when the sky reflects across calm water. Arrive a little early so you can find a good position and watch the changing light.

Keep the composition simple: a stretch of shoreline, a few clouds and the fading sun are often enough. Whether you are sharing your Bermuda holiday online or keeping the images for yourself, these quieter moments can become the most memorable pictures of the trip.
