Bonaire’s Colourful Coast
December is a wonderful time to explore Bonaire with your camera ready. In Kralendijk, the waterfront is lined with pastel buildings, small cafés and bright Caribbean details that look especially inviting beneath the clear blue sky. Take a relaxed walk along the promenade and you will find plenty of easy photo opportunities, from painted shutters to boats resting in the calm harbour.
For a classic Bonaire image, look out for the island’s colourful wooden huts and salt pans. The white salt mounds, turquoise water and pink flamingos create a striking contrast, particularly in the soft light of early morning. Keep a respectful distance from wildlife and enjoy the view without disturbing the birds.
