November Beach Weather

Guadeloupe is a superb choice for a beach holiday in November, when the Caribbean is warm, bright and inviting. Daytime temperatures usually sit around 29°C, while the sea remains wonderfully warm for swimming, snorkelling and paddleboarding. There may be short tropical showers, but they often pass quickly and leave the beaches fresh and quiet.

November also falls outside the busiest winter period, so you can enjoy a more relaxed feel along the coast. There is plenty of sunshine for beach time, and the softer pace makes it easy to combine lazy mornings by the sea with exploring villages, markets and rainforest viewpoints.

Best Beaches To Visit

Grande-Terre is the natural starting point for a classic Guadeloupe beach holiday. Around Sainte-Anne, the sand is pale and fine, the water is generally calm, and offshore reefs help create excellent swimming conditions. The town has cafés, beach restaurants and a lively market, making it easy to spend a full day without needing to travel far.

For a quieter setting, head towards Saint-François or Anse du Souffleur. These beaches offer space to stretch out, clear water and attractive coastal scenery. Plage de la Caravelle is another popular option, with a sheltered lagoon that suits families and anyone who prefers gentle swimming.

Sea And Water Activities

November is an excellent time to get into the water. The warm sea makes snorkelling comfortable, and many sheltered bays have clear shallows where you can spot small reef fish close to shore. If you are new to snorkelling, local operators can arrange guided trips and provide the necessary equipment.

Boat excursions are also a memorable part of a Guadeloupe beach holiday. You can cruise towards smaller islands, swim from the boat or look for turtles in quieter bays. Kayaking through the mangroves near Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin gives you a different view of the island, with calm water and fascinating coastal wildlife.

Island Life Beyond The Sand

Guadeloupe is about more than its beaches. Try accras, grilled fish, spicy Creole stews and fresh tropical fruit at a beachside restaurant or local market. A rum-based ti-punch is a traditional choice for adults, although fresh juices are just as enjoyable after a hot day outdoors.

It is worth leaving the coast to discover Basse-Terre’s waterfalls, botanical gardens and lush volcanic landscape. In November, the countryside is particularly green, and a short drive can take you from a sunny beach to cool forest trails. With warm weather, appealing beaches and fewer crowds, Guadeloupe makes November a very tempting time for a Caribbean escape.
