Birdwatching in July
July is an excellent month for a Barbados birdwatching holiday. The island is warm, green and full of life, while occasional showers freshen the gardens, woodland and wetlands. Early mornings are especially rewarding, when the air is cooler and birds are most active.
Barbados offers a satisfying mix of habitats within a relatively small area. You can watch birds around coastal scrub, sugar-cane fields, gardens, ponds and sheltered gullies, often without travelling far from your hotel. With a little patience, even a short walk can produce memorable sightings.
