Why Visit in January?
January is an excellent time for a Caribbean city break in the BES islands: Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba. The weather is generally warm, bright and pleasantly dry, making it easy to enjoy outdoor adventures without the intense heat and humidity found later in the year.

The island’s volcanic landscape is just as memorable. Walk through lower slopes of The Quill, a dormant volcano covered in lush vegetation, or head to the coast for broad views and quiet beaches. January is a comfortable month for sightseeing, especially if you set out in the morning.
Saba’s Mountain Scenery

Active visitors can tackle part of the Mount Scenery trail, which leads through tropical forest towards the highest point in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The route can be steep and sometimes misty, so sturdy footwear is useful, but the changing scenery makes the effort worthwhile.
