January Fishing Conditions
January is an excellent time to think about a fishing holiday in Haiti. The weather is generally warm, the air is often pleasantly dry, and the sea can be wonderfully inviting. After the busier festive period, the coastline feels more relaxed, giving you the chance to enjoy the water at an easy pace.
Temperatures are usually comfortable for a full day outdoors, although the sunshine remains strong, so a hat, high-factor sun cream and plenty of drinking water are essential. Mornings are often the best time to head out, when the sea is calmer and the light is softer. Local conditions can change, so always take advice from experienced fishermen before leaving shore.
