February Birdwatching
February is an excellent time for a birdwatching holiday in Martinique. The island is enjoying its dry season, so paths are generally easier to explore and clear mornings give you a good chance of seeing birds before the heat builds. It is also a comfortable month for walking, with warm temperatures and refreshing breezes along the coast.
Martinique combines tropical forest, volcanic slopes, mangroves and open farmland in a surprisingly compact area. That variety means you can enjoy a different birdwatching experience each day, often without travelling far from your accommodation. Take binoculars, comfortable walking shoes and plenty of water, then let the island’s relaxed rhythm set the pace.
