April Diving Conditions
April is an excellent month for scuba diving in the Bahamas. The winter winds are easing, the days are warm and bright, and the sea is usually invitingly clear. Water temperatures commonly sit around 24 to 26°C, so many divers are comfortable in a 3mm wetsuit, while some prefer a slightly thicker suit for longer dives.
Visibility can be impressive, often reaching 20 to 30 metres and sometimes more on the best days. That gives you plenty of time to take in reef walls, wrecks and passing marine life. April also falls outside the busiest summer period, making it a good choice for divers who want a relaxed holiday with fewer crowds at popular sites.
