Why Visit in April

April is an excellent month for a United States Virgin Islands beach holiday. The islands are warm, bright and inviting, with daytime temperatures usually around 28°C and sea temperatures that make swimming, snorkelling and paddleboarding easy. You can expect plenty of sunshine, while the occasional brief shower helps keep the hillsides fresh and green.

More Than a Beach

There is plenty to do when you are ready for a break from the sand. Explore the historic streets and colourful shops of Charlotte Amalie, climb the famous 99 Steps, or take in the harbour views from a hillside lookout. St Thomas is also a useful base for boat trips to nearby cays and excellent snorkelling spots.

St Croix has a character of its own, with a slower pace, interesting Danish-era architecture and a strong local food scene. Visit Christiansted, take a guided rum tour or explore Buck Island Reef National Monument by boat. On St John, much of the island forms part of a national park, making scenic drives and short walks especially rewarding.
