Aruba Instagram Hotspots

Caribbean Holidays, Aruba Instagram Hotspots, Colourful aerial view of Aruba's Palm Beach coastline at golden hour, turquoise sea, white sand and colourful beach umbrellas

Palm Beach Colour

For easy, eye-catching Aruba holiday photos, start at Palm Beach. The wide strip of white sand, bright turquoise water and tall palms looks especially inviting in May, when the island is warm, breezy and ready for long beach days. Arrive in the morning for softer light and a quieter shoreline, or stay until sunset when the sky turns warm gold.

Walk along the sand rather than staying in one spot, as each stretch offers a slightly different view of the coastline. A bright shirt, a wide-brimmed hat or a colourful towel will add contrast without making the image feel staged. Palm Beach is also handy for cafés and restaurants, so you can easily combine a photo stop with breakfast, lunch or a relaxed cocktail.

California Lighthouse Views

The California Lighthouse is one of Aruba’s most recognisable Instagram hotspots. Standing on the island’s north-western tip, it offers broad views across the coastline and the dry, open landscape that gives Aruba its distinctive character. The lighthouse itself is wonderfully simple to photograph, particularly against a deep blue May sky.

Go early or near sunset for gentler light and fewer harsh shadows. From the surrounding hill, turn your camera towards the sea for sweeping coastal pictures, then look inland for a different scene of cacti, pale earth and winding roads. Wear sensible shoes and take water, as the area can feel exposed even when the trade winds are blowing.

Caribbean Holidays, Aruba Instagram Hotspots, Natural Aruba landscape at Arikok National Park with rugged rocks, cacti, low hills and warm afternoon sunlight

Arikok National Park

Arikok National Park brings a more adventurous look to your Aruba Instagram feed. Its rugged hills, towering cacti and unusual rock formations show a side of the island far beyond the resort beaches. May is a good time to explore, with plenty of sunshine and a refreshing breeze for the drive between viewpoints.

At the natural bridge viewpoints and around the park’s rocky tracks, use the landscape to create strong, simple compositions. Keep an eye out for lizards, desert plants and distant sea views, but stay on marked routes and follow local guidance. A guided tour can be a practical choice if you want to reach the quieter corners without worrying about navigation or road conditions.

Caribbean Holidays, Aruba Instagram Hotspots, Colourful wooden huts and beach umbrellas at Mangel Halto in Aruba, calm shallow lagoon water and mangrove trees

Mangel Halto Lagoon

Mangel Halto has a calmer, more local feel than Palm Beach and is ideal for relaxed holiday photography. The shallow lagoon, mangroves and wooden platforms create plenty of natural framing, while the clear water often reveals flashes of tropical fish beneath the surface. The colours are particularly lively on a sunny May afternoon.

Bring a phone pouch or waterproof camera if you plan to swim or snorkel, and be considerate around other visitors. Photographing from the edge of the mangroves can capture the peaceful character of the area, while a low angle close to the water makes the lagoon appear especially clear. Finish with a slow walk along the shore as the light begins to soften.

Caribbean Holidays, Aruba Instagram Hotspots, Aruba sunset at Eagle Beach with the famous fofoti tree silhouette, pastel sky, white sand and calm sea

Eagle Beach Sunset

Eagle Beach is a must for one of the classic Aruba holiday images: the distinctive fofoti trees leaning towards the sea. The beach is spacious, so there is usually room to find a clear view without feeling crowded. In May, sunset arrives at a comfortable time for an unhurried stroll and a final set of photographs.

Place the tree slightly to one side of the frame and leave space for the horizon, or capture a silhouette as the sun drops behind the water. Keep your settings simple and take several shots as the colours change. Most importantly, put the camera down for a moment and enjoy the warm sand, gentle breeze and laid-back atmosphere that make Aruba so memorable.
