Havana’s Colourful Streets
January is an excellent time to explore Havana with a camera or phone in hand. The city’s faded colonial buildings, bright vintage cars and lively street scenes create an effortless backdrop for memorable Instagram photos. Warm sunshine and generally comfortable temperatures make it easier to spend a full day wandering between the old squares and waterfront.
Start in Habana Vieja, where cobbled lanes open into Plaza Vieja, Plaza de la Catedral and Plaza de Armas. Look for contrasting colours, patterned doorways and balconies filled with plants. Early morning brings softer light and quieter streets, while late afternoon gives the buildings a warm glow that makes even simple travel photographs feel special.
