Why Visit Grenada in January
January is an excellent time for a backpacking holiday in Grenada. The island is warm, relatively dry and easy to explore, making it ideal if you want Caribbean sunshine without spending every day in a resort. Daytime temperatures usually sit around 28°C, while cooling trade winds make walking and travelling between stops comfortable.
After the busier festive period, Grenada feels relaxed and welcoming. You can start the morning with a swim, spend the afternoon exploring a colourful town or rainforest trail, and finish with fresh seafood beside the water. January also brings plenty of bright days for enjoying the island outdoors.
