Why Visit in February?
February is an excellent time for a Puerto Rico birdwatching holiday. The weather is generally warm, bright and pleasantly breezy, while the drier conditions make trails easier to explore. With comfortable daytime temperatures and plenty of sunshine, you can spend long mornings outdoors without the intense heat of summer.
This is also a rewarding month for seeing both resident species and winter visitors. Migratory birds from North America may still be present, adding variety to the island’s already impressive list. Start early, when the forest is cool and active, then enjoy a relaxed afternoon by the coast or in a historic town.
