Bermuda Beach Holidays

Why Choose Bermuda in June?

June is an excellent time for Bermuda beach holidays, with warm weather, bright skies and the sea at its most inviting. Daytime temperatures are usually around 26°C, making it easy to spend long afternoons beside the water without the intense heat you can sometimes find later in summer.

The island feels lively in June, but it is not usually as busy as during the main school holiday period. You can enjoy a leisurely breakfast, head to the beach, and still find a peaceful spot for your towel. Sea temperatures are pleasantly warm too, so swimming and snorkelling are comfortable from morning until late afternoon.

Bermuda’s Best Beaches

Horseshoe Bay is the beach most visitors picture when they think of Bermuda. Its curved sweep of pink-tinted sand, clear blue water and dramatic rocky edges make it a wonderful place for a first swim. The main beach has useful facilities nearby, while quieter coves can be found by walking along the shoreline.

Elbow Beach offers another appealing setting, with soft sand and plenty of space for a relaxed day by the sea. For calmer water, try Shelly Bay, where shallow conditions are particularly suitable for families. Tobacco Bay is also worth visiting for its sheltered swimming area and excellent access to colourful fish close to shore.

Things to Do by the Sea

Bermuda’s clear water makes snorkelling one of the easiest ways to add adventure to a beach holiday. Hire equipment locally or join a guided trip to explore reefs, rock pools and the remains of historic shipwrecks. Even a short swim from the shore can reveal bright fish moving through the shallows.

If you prefer to stay above the water, consider kayaking or paddleboarding along the coast. The calm bays are ideal for beginners, and the changing views of pastel houses, green hills and rugged coastline are best appreciated from the water. Glass-bottom boat trips are another enjoyable option, especially for families.

Enjoy Island Life

Beach time is only part of the appeal. Explore Hamilton’s colourful streets, visit the Royal Naval Dockyard or take a scenic ride along the island’s winding roads. Bermuda’s famous pastel buildings and neat gardens give every journey a sense of place, while local cafés make it easy to stop for a cold drink or fresh seafood.

In the evening, return to the coast for a relaxed meal as the air cools. June is a lovely month for sitting outside, listening to the water and watching the sky change colour. With warm beaches, friendly service and plenty to explore, Bermuda is a superb choice for an easy-going early summer escape.
