Saba’s Mountain Charm

Saba is small, dramatic and wonderfully different. Rising steeply from the sea, the island is covered in lush vegetation and crossed by winding roads, walking trails and the famous steps known as The Road. Its coastline is rugged rather than sandy, but the surrounding waters are superb for diving, with clear visibility, steep walls and unusual marine life.

August is a good month for exploring Saba’s trails early in the day, before the strongest heat arrives. After a walk through the rainforest or a visit to Windwardside, enjoy a leisurely lunch and take in the wide ocean views. Saba suits travellers who value scenery, nature and a genuine sense of place.
