Why Dive Dominica in January?
January is an excellent time to go scuba diving in Dominica. The island’s dry season is getting under way, bringing generally settled weather, comfortable temperatures and good conditions for exploring the water. Days are warm without feeling overwhelmingly humid, while the sea remains inviting for both experienced divers and those booking their first guided trip.
Dominica is often called the Nature Island, and that character continues beneath the waves. Its volcanic coastline drops quickly into deep water, creating dramatic underwater scenery close to shore. Instead of long journeys to distant reefs, many dive sites are an easy boat ride from Roseau or the island’s smaller coastal communities.
