Walking in February
February is an excellent month for a Martinique walking holiday. The island is enjoying its drier season, bringing warm days, bright skies and generally comfortable conditions for exploring on foot. Temperatures are usually around 25 to 29°C, while the sea remains inviting after a morning on the trail.
Martinique combines Caribbean coastline with dramatic inland scenery, so walks can feel wonderfully varied. One day might take you beside turquoise water and fishing villages, while the next leads through rainforest beneath the slopes of Mount Pelée. February also has a lively atmosphere, with colourful Carnival celebrations adding music and local character to many towns.
