Wear sturdy trainers, carry water and allow time to enjoy the views rather than rushing to the beach.

For a shorter outing, explore the paths around Lorient or take a coastal walk near Anse des Cayes. The landscape is a mix of low scrub, rocky viewpoints and bright sea, giving you a real sense of the island beyond its stylish restaurants and harbours. Early morning is often the most comfortable time for walking.

Relax Between Adventures
