Why Walk in April?
April is an excellent time to discover Saint Barthélemy on foot. The island is enjoying warm, generally settled weather, while the stronger summer humidity and heavier rainfall are still some way off. Days are ideal for exploring at an easy pace, with plenty of sunshine for the views and a refreshing breeze along the coast.
Walking also reveals a quieter, more authentic side of this stylish Caribbean island. Between the beaches and harbour towns are rugged headlands, quiet lanes and viewpoints that are easy to miss from a hire car. Take water, wear sensible shoes and allow time to stop for photographs, a swim or a relaxed lunch.
