Diving in September
September is an appealing time to go scuba diving in Saint Kitts and Nevis if you like warm water, uncrowded sites and a relaxed island atmosphere. The sea is generally pleasantly warm, so a light wetsuit is often all you need, while visibility can be very good on calm days.
Both islands offer a varied underwater landscape, from shallow reefs and sandy bottoms to volcanic drop-offs and interesting rock formations. You may spot angelfish, parrotfish, barracuda, rays and turtles, with smaller creatures hiding among sponges and coral. Local dive centres know the conditions well and can match trips to your experience and interests.
