Why Visit in February?
February is an excellent month for a birdwatching holiday in Trinidad and Tobago. The weather is generally warm, bright and fairly dry, making it comfortable to spend long mornings outdoors with binoculars in hand. There is also plenty of activity in the forests, wetlands and gardens, so every walk can bring a new sighting.
Trinidad is particularly rewarding for keen birders because its varied habitats support an impressive range of species. Tobago offers a more relaxed pace, with forest trails, coastal scenery and open spaces where colourful birds are often easier to spot. Visiting both islands gives you a broader experience of Caribbean birdwatching.
