Why Dive in April?
April is an excellent month for scuba diving in the United States Virgin Islands. The winter crowds are beginning to ease, yet the weather remains warm and settled, with plenty of sunshine for days on the water. Sea temperatures are comfortable for long dives, so you can spend more time exploring reefs, wrecks and rocky pinnacles.
Visibility is often impressive at this time of year, particularly around St Thomas, St John and St Croix. Calm conditions make boat trips enjoyable and give newer divers confidence, while experienced visitors can look forward to clear views of coral gardens and marine life. April also fits neatly between the busiest winter period and the hotter summer months, making it a smart choice for a relaxed diving holiday.
