Discover Old San Juan
A Puerto Rico city break starts in Old San Juan, where centuries of history sit alongside lively cafés, independent shops and Caribbean bars. Wander along the blue cobbled streets and you will find pastel buildings, carved wooden doors and shady plazas that make exploring on foot especially enjoyable.
Allow time for the impressive forts of Castillo San Felipe del Morro and Castillo San Cristóbal. Their sea-facing walls offer fantastic views across the Atlantic, while the grassy slopes nearby are ideal for a relaxed pause. As evening arrives, the old quarter becomes wonderfully atmospheric, with music drifting from restaurants and locals meeting for dinner.
