January Birdwatching in Bonaire
January is an excellent time for a birdwatching holiday in Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba. The weather is generally warm, dry and comfortable, with plenty of sunshine for exploring wetlands, woodland and coastal viewpoints. It is also a rewarding month for seeing resident Caribbean species alongside visiting birds escaping the colder winter in North America.
Each island offers a different experience. Bonaire is the easiest place to cover a variety of habitats, while Sint Eustatius has quiet trails and volcanic landscapes. Saba is smaller and more mountainous, giving keen birders the chance to combine forest walks with memorable sea views.
