April is an excellent month for a birdwatching holiday in Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba, often known together as the BES islands. Saba is small, steep and wonderfully distinctive. Its cloud-forest vegetation and dramatic mountain trails offer a different birdwatching experience from the drier habitats of Bonaire. The scenery changes quickly as you climb, with shaded greenery, rocky viewpoints and broad views across the Caribbean.
