A Birder’s Caribbean
Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba offer a very different side to a Caribbean holiday. Alongside warm seas, bright sunshine and relaxed island life, the BES islands provide excellent opportunities for birdwatching. You can spot colourful residents, passing migrants and impressive seabirds without spending your holiday in crowded reserves or busy cities.
Each island has its own character and habitats. Bonaire is known for open landscapes, salt pans and wetlands, while Sint Eustatius combines volcanic slopes with quiet coastal areas. Tiny Saba is steep, green and wonderfully peaceful, making it ideal for walkers who enjoy looking and listening for birds as they explore.
