Volcanic Sint Eustatius

Sint Eustatius, often known as Statia, rewards curious travellers with a quieter and more rugged style of adventure. The island is dominated by The Quill, a dormant volcano whose forested crater can be explored on foot with a local guide. The trail is varied, with tropical plants, birdlife and changing views as you climb.

Walking on Saba

Saba is small, mountainous and wonderfully distinctive. Its network of walking trails leads through rainforest, past unusual plants and up steep slopes, with spectacular views over the Caribbean on clear days. The climb to Mount Scenery is a highlight for active visitors, although sturdy footwear and sensible pacing are important.
