February is an excellent time to explore Saint Martin and Sint Maarten with your camera ready. The island’s dry, sunny weather makes it easier to enjoy long days outdoors, while the clear light brings out the contrast between turquoise sea, bright sand and green hills. Start at Maho Beach on the Dutch side, where aircraft pass surprisingly close overhead as they approach Princess Juliana International Airport. For a classic Saint Martin viewpoint, climb to Fort Louis above Marigot. The old stone fort offers a broad panorama across the harbour, rooftops and surrounding coastline.
