January Nature Escapes
January is an excellent time for a nature holiday in Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba. These three Caribbean islands, often known together as the BES islands, each offer a very different experience, from Bonaire’s open desert-like scenery to Saba’s steep volcanic slopes. The weather is generally warm and pleasantly dry, making it comfortable to explore outdoors.
Expect plenty of sunshine, refreshing sea breezes and daytime temperatures that are ideal for walking, wildlife watching and exploring the coast. January is also a popular month to visit, so booking accommodation and inter-island travel early is sensible, particularly if you want a choice of smaller guesthouses.
